Sam and Casey's Small Town Engagement Photoshoot

We probably walked to every single spot in Waconia for this photoshoot, and it was 100% worth it.

Sometimes the late autumn can make your engagement photos a little lackluster. The leaves are gone, the weather is cold, it’s cloudy and chilly. All that can lead to some photos that aren’t so fun.

I like to think about it a little differently. It’s a chance to get creative, which is exactly what we did here. Sam and Casey were good sports about it, which always helps, so we went around to all their favorite places. We stopped by the local church, some great parks around town, and stopped at every little point that made us say “ooh, that looks nice.”

The moral of the story was that photoshoots don’t need to be perfect, they need to showcase the person or people in front of the camera. And I’m so glad that we were able to do that here.
